I know, I know...

I haven't posted in awhile. Le Sigh....just been either too busy (the Hive has moved! AND A-Kon was great!!!) or too tired (re:lazy, LOL) I have come across a few amazing vids lately but not nearly as much as I usually do.  Must be the Summer/Holiday vacations! I won't be taking one myself this year as the youngest has started to book our Japan trip. Hurray! Finally have enough money saved up to go! Only took five years!!! How do people afford to do this sort of thing on a regular basis? With a family? Geesh....

Anyhoo, here's one of my favorite videos at the moment:

Dancing Pigeons - Ritalin. Just the very idea of a music video that features a throwdown between a flamethrower and a fire extinguisher piqued my curiosity. But watching this video in slow-mo...truly epic! This one is embedded so you don't have to click any links. Enjoy...

This one looks promising: The trailer for the movie Priest. Any movie with vampires, guns, mutants, and fistfights on moving vehicles goes on my “ones to watch” list. Scott Stewart, the film’s creator, did effects for Sin City and Iron Man. Very apocalyptic meets weird wild west steampunkish, if I do say so myself.

This seems pretty cool as well but you just never know with some of the ones ol' Nick stars in. Drive Angry 3D  - Nicolas Cage goes all bad-ass in this over-the-top 3D flick loaded with tons of muscle cars and guns and a supernatural element. What more could a girl ask for, right?  Directed by the same guy who did Dracula 2000, so it’s gotta be good...right?

And I'm kinda liking this one, too. A real Inception flavor with anime action stylings. Touches of steampunk if the posters are anything to go by, too! Sucker Punch - Directed by Zack Snyder (of 300 and Watchmen), Sucker Punch is looking awesome. The action-fantasy is described in the copy as “Alice in Wonderland with Guns.” Sounds good to me. Doesn't come out til  3/2011 though.

And finally...for the lutz: Jane Austen’s Fight Club - The ladies of proper society take a punch to the face in what has to be the first and only Jane Austen - Chuck Palahniuk mashup I've ever seen. No corsets, no hat pins, no crying.  Enjoy!
