Get In Shape

So, I’ve been wanting go get back in good shape for about a year and have been failing miserably.

Here’s my plan. I’m putting it On The Internet so I can be embarassed if I don’t follow through with it.

Step 1: Quit Smoking: This is not a difficult task for me. It never has been. However, for some reason something about me makes people want to give me cigarettes. I’ve received 2 packs of cigarettes since last weekend and just sucked down the last one yesterday afternoon. This was my plan. Now I have no cigarettes and will strive not to acquire another pack. I may still have one when I’m drinking with Robert or someone else who likes to drink and smoke. And that’s it. NEXT

Step 2: Work out more: This has been the largest area of my failing. I will perform The Workout 3 times per week. No excuses. I will use the Kung Fu school for this, as I have found my key and have a car again with which to drive there. Early morning workouts are preferable, but logistically I will probably be doing mostly late night workouts.

Step 2.1: The Work Out:
Preliminary Stretching
Stance Drill
Kicking Drill
10 Exercises
Practice All Forms Including Weapons
Taichi Cool Down
Strech again.

Step 3: Sleep more: This is the step I really don’t know how I’m going to accomplish. I just do not have the freaking time to sleep more. Maybe if I quit… something… whatever. bah.

So that’s my plan. Maybe I’ll be in shape by June to fight in Sigung’s tournament. Probably not. I’ve never been in shape for a tournament before, though, so I don’t know why that should stop me.

Mostly I just want to be able to run around like a squirrel monkey and not have to stop to catch my breath.
