It's great to be here

It's raining right now and the sound is positively beautiful. I bought groceries today and prepared the most fabulous marinade in the world. I'm marinading a lemon herb chicken for tonight to make along with wild rice and vegetables. Rickey is going to bring me home a nice bottle of wine and we plan on having a lovely night. I can't wait. I'm also going to surprise him by making his favorite desert: chocolate and banana cream pudding pie.

My spring break weekend was absolutely wonderful. I made lunch for the girls at whit's house, then we grabbed some smoothies at Jamba Juice before heading out to the beach for some sun. I really did miss hanging out with those girls. After the beach we all washed up at whit's and went to see The 300 at the theatre. That movie is absolutely the manilest movie I have ever seen. After watching all those men run around with their tight sculpted bodies, sweat dripping from their glistening skin, and sheer anger and rage displayed on their manly faces, I was ready to head back home to SA for my own special romp. ;) It was sexy, it was emotional, it was dramatic. It was the picture perfect movie with an unconvential display of color and camera angle along with exagerated themes and characters. I thoroughly enjoyed it and most highly recommend it. I'm glad I got to see my family as well and I spent friday night, saturday morning, and sunday all day with them. I visited with Rickey's family a bit as well this weekend but as can only be expected, the drama queen of course caused more drama. I bought Randy a house-warming gift for his new apartment and congratulated him on how well he is doing for himself. He seems very happy about starting his own business, paying for his own apartment, and all the independence that has suddenly made its way into his life. I'm very happy for him.

As for my plans for the remainder of spring break, I plan to do a bit of spring cleaning of which I have already begun to defunk this place after the mess that Rickey left me over the weekend. lol. Guys would be completely and utterly lost without us women to show them how to live a decently clean and organized life. No matter- I still love him with all my heart for the messy, sweet, and always-able-to-make-me-laugh man that he is. Tomorrow is his day off and I look forward to spending the day wrapped up in his arms. I can't wait.

For now I'll just order a pay per view movie, sit back and watch the rain pour down outside of my window.

Thank you God for this beautiful life that I'm so blessed to live.
