Summary: Why not add one more dream to the list.
Minseok is tired, he’s always tired, but this time he thinks it may be a tad more bearable as he watches the clouds go by, head cushioned in Luhan’s lap.
He enjoys it for a moment, grass soft under his back as gentle fingers comb through his hair, before he realizes that they’re in China, in a dorm, and there is no possible way that this can really be happening. It’s all just too perfect, even down to the way Luhan is acting.
“I’m dreaming, aren’t I?” He mumbles sadly, eyes sliding up to meet Luhan’s (Dream Luhan’s?) eyes, hands stilling on his scalp. Minseok sighs, and thinks that he should have known when he spotted a unicorn in the clouds minutes before.
“Unfortunately,” Dream Luhan says, much to cheerily, Minseok notes, and he can’t help but groan. He can’t even seem to find reprieve in his dreams anymore, he bemoans, and Dream Luhan seems to know his thoughts, smoothing over his bangs comfortingly. “But not for much longer anyways, it’s time for you to wake up now.”
Minseok wants to whine and complain some more, but soon the clouds and even Luhan are swallowed up by darkness, replaced by the back of his eyelids as a scratchy voice mutters in his ear time to wake up baozi, Wu Fan is in a mood again, we’ve got our three hours, time to wake up now, usual morning greeting of make up still caked on his face and hair all but glued to his head.
Luhan just shakes his head at the eldest’s drowsiness and pulls him up from their bed, fingers threading through his hair that remind Minseok of his dream, but this Luhan is so much better he thinks, face equally a mess and hair sticking out in seven directions at least.
“I like you like this more,” Minseok says softly, and Luhan looks at him in confusion for a moment before shaking his head, leaning in to kiss Minseok softly, one more moment to themselves before the day begins.
“And I like you the way you are,” Luhan replies simply, and Minseok knows what he means but can’t do much more than smile painfully, closing his eyes as Luhan’s light touches brush over him. It’s a long moment by their standards, and Minseok knows it can’t last, but enjoys it anyway.
“Let’s just stay like this then,” Luhan knows it’s nothing but a dream the moment it leaves his lips, and he knows Minseok does too, but they’re all chasing dreams of some kind anyway. His hands leave Minseok’s waist as breakfast wafts in through the room, and steps up to begin their day.
Why not add one more dream to the list.
