Rock Chalk Championship!
We won! The Kansas Jayhawks won the national championship! F-ing awesome! It took us 5 years to get to this point. Ahhh I'm so excited! For those of you who don't know what this is referring to, KU just won the super bowl of college basketball. Fuck yeah!
Ok, it really is a nice break from moving. With 2 days of work left and 80% of our place packed up, I'm still not feeling it. I mean, it just hasn't hit me yet. I feel as though I'm floating through some sort of twilight zone. Watching Tony go through the same emotions I went through a year and half ago is surreal. It sure gives me a new perspective. Today went by fairly fast, though I have a feeling that the next 2 days will not. I got to be in my room today, but tomorrow I'm sure will be another story. I'm going to ask ms. boss lady if I can at least spend my last day in my classroom, with my kids. Is that really asking too much?
Friday I got a manicure with Tristen, to reward myself for not biting my nails. They looked so pretty! Until I started packing...the polish sure did chip away fast, even with 3-4 top coats. I think I'll get them done again after we move and get settled (and unpacked!). I'm not one to do mani-pedi facials etc, to me its a waste of money, at least getting them done regularly. Every now and then to pamper yourself is cool. I personally have never had a pedicure done, and only one facial which was a gift. This was my second manicure, my first being 6 years ago for senior prom (wow, I can't believe that was 6 years ago!). With that said, right now I think it will help stay "bite free." Yes, I could do it myself, but having to pay for it would prevent the urge to bite it all off. I'm a little bitter that this time around didn't last longer. If I have the same effect next time, I don't think I'll get it done again.
