CONGRATS, TEAM 3!! So, the Rhino Hunt is over. My team didn't win, but we sure had such a good time following Misha's crazy comands.
I was really lucky. I totally thought my original letter with the envelope was lost in the mail (I sent a little something for cassiopeia7 at the same time and it never reached its destiny! I'm still angry about that, BTW), and I was sadly prepared to watch the fun from the outside when, three days before the deadline to send all the stuff, MY PIECE ARRIVED. I almost exploded.
I desperately posted in Team 5 comm, asking if there was a chance for me to participate and the wonderful henrycusick answered almost right away: there was only ONE task nobody had claimed yet. LUCKY ME!!!!!!! YAY!!!
My enthusiasm dwindled a little when I saw it was none other than task 10, the same one I thought it was impossible to achieve when I first saw it on the list: A video of a 5 year old child (or younger) playing any song by the Sex Pistols on a saxophone. But Team 5 was not to be stopped by Misha's shennanigans and there was a post with a wonderful suggestion: What if the kid was pressing the PLAY button to PLAY a song by the Sex Pistols while sitting ON a saxophone? BRILLIANT, whoever that came with that idea. So, I asked "Could it be a toy Saxophone?" "YES", replied instantly henrycusick.
I already had the kid, my lovely three year old daughter Connie. She HAD a toy saxo but she broke it and I threw it away! (I wanted to kill myself: I had to complete the task that very same day!!). So I practically bolted through my door to go downtown to buy a new toy saxo. I only found a whole set of several musical instruments, a Saxo among them. So when I got back home, Connie was really happy and surprised with all her new toys.
She was a real sport and very helpful as my tiny actress, even if she didn't understand why mommy wanted for her to sit on her new toy and to press a button. She did like the song, however!!
And after a little editing, I was able to send Misha the final result the same day, almost at midnight. I had a BLAST and I felt so lucky to be able to participate in the last possible minute. I'm eagerly waiting for the next Scavenger Hunt!!
