dorama marathon (again... ^_^)
1. kakure karakuri カクレカラクリ
a summer 2006 special mystery that revolves around two families in the middle of a long-standing feud and two outsiders working part-time in the village onsen who get involved in finding out the reason why.
i watched this special because shige plays a lead character who has a very interesting personality. and i have to say it was worth it since he looked so hot with that cool rocker style he had going on. ^_^ i want his clothes ^_^ hahaha... and i liked the onsen scenes though they could've shown more of his naked torso than his shoulders and collar bone. i should've been the water in the tub so that i could grab shige's ass.
it's not exactly a mind-blowing special, but i enjoyed the story nonetheless since it had a puzzle in it, and the "whodunnit?" mood started to kick in. ^_^ unfortunately, am not good at guessing those kinds of things -_- so yeah ^_^
notable actors and actresses who also starred in this special are hiraoka yuuta (nana), kuriyama chiaki (battle royale, kill bill), and sugizo (former member of the disbanded jrock band luna sea).
2. kurosagi クロサギ
there are three kinds of swindlers in the world: those who embezzle money from people, the shirosagi; those who deceive others through emotions, the akasagi; and those who prey upon other swindlers, the legendary kurosagi.
kurosaki, played by yamashita tomohisa, escaped death when his swindled father committed suicide after killing his mother and his sister and almost killing him in the process. wanting revenge, he becomes a kurosagi who buys information from the person who brought about the downfall of his father and swindles money out of professional swindlers to get the money back to the victims.
his avenger life somehow changes when he encounters yoshikawa tsurara played by horikita maki, a girl who wants to be a prosecutor and believes in upholding law, order, and serving justice where it is due.
it's a very interesting dorama as you get to see yamapi play out different personalities, disguising himself to deceive his victims. and what keeps me hooked is that the story's mood gets darker as early as the second episode, and it leaves me wondering, "what worse things can happen to kurosaki now that he's faced early on with this kind of problem?"
am still half-way through, but i can't wait to see how this one ends ^_^
