We didn't get a lot of snow here yesterday but this morning I woke up to a white view. It melted quickly but the cold remains and it's impossible to even step out of the house now that it's dark. Hopefully it'll be better in the morning when I have to go to work!

The weather report is saying that this weekend we are expecting a rapid drop in temperature and even snow around Athens. On Saturday there is a chance that we'll get snow in Cyclades Islands (in the middle of the Aegean, where I currently am). I am not really believing it, but if it does happen it'll be the first sign that winter is really here...

It's been a very strange day. I woke up feeling rested (not to mention without the awful wake-up call of the alarm clock) and set out to do the weekend's chores - laundry, cooking, watering the plants. It was raining non-stop from Monday afternoon until this morning. It actually just drizzled when I walked to work today and the weather was hot and became a lot hotter when the sun came out later. It's hot as hell here today. I was hoping for some cool wind now that the night has fallen but the themometer still reads 40 degrees Celcius!!! I was at the beach till 8 this evening but I need it more now...And to think that we were bitching that the weather wasn't summerly (is that a word?)

The weather has gone absolutely crazy these last couple of days. On Friday and Saturday (the wicked-wicked day England got out of the World Cup but France made it through - yeah, for France!!!) we had almost 40 degrees C and tonight it's raining and it's cold.
