if I were chubby and boring

I feel a lot better today: I'm sorry for all that whiny nonsense before. While I'm still not back to top form by any means, I'm almost relieved. Relieved in the sense that the stress of worrying about how much someone actually likes you (or will continue do so in the future) is essentially gone. Going back to my complacent hibernation in singledom is at least somewhat comforting because it's been my routine for so long. Of course I'd rather it not stay this way, but that's no reason to to force anything. I'll get over it, hopefully between now and when school starts... That gives me a month. Hmmm.

Here's a thought, I at least kinda want to go see these shows:
Wolf Parade, Cat's Cradle, Aug 22
The Format, Cat's Cradle, Aug 26
Peter Bjorn & John, Cat's Cradle, Sept 11
Animal Collective, Cat's Cradle, Sept 27
Okkervil River, Cat's Cradle, Oct 2
Stars, Cat's Cradle, Oct 26

So far, I only have tickets to PB&J and Animal Collective because I'm sure I want to see both. I waiver on Wolf Parade only because it's the first day of school and I don't know how long my night class will want to run. The Format date is disconcerting because it's a bunch of bands, not just them. I like this new Okkervil River album, even if it can be unreasonably cliche in places. I'm a little meh on Stars due to their most-recent release, so I'm undecided on that as well.

That is all for tonight, internet denizens.

it's ironic, don't you think, how success can make you stink
