I have to say I concur. And additional comments from the peanut gallery aside, you're entitled to opinion... and so are we... and I'm going to voice my opinion on your opinion.
Have an opinion. Good, go for it... I'm glad you enjoy your new school.... But slamming the school that (most of) the people who read this post, and to whom it was aimed at, go to (Yay grammatically fucked sentences... I'm so damned tired.) is really hurtful. Some of us don't necessarily like the whole college, and some of us really enjoy every aspect of it. However, saying things like the classes we are interested don't matter, that what we enjoy learning and doing doesn't matter.... it strays into the 'really crappy of you to say' realm.
As to other comments that may or may not have been made, I get a rather large chunk of people who say "Sarah Lawrence? Wow... congrats. What a prestigious school." And every single one has been an adult with a good job. They compliment me on the quality of the education I'm getting... something that I happen to concur with.
The things that I am learning and doing may not 'MATTER' to you, or to anyone else you know, but they matter to me... and the education I am getting in these areas makes me a quite competant person. I hate that I'm paying out of my (very own personal) arse for this college, but I am so much happier with the education I am getting from this school than I am with my second hand experiences of the education at any other.
So just to sum up... I'm glad you're happy with where you are, I'm glad you're doing what matters to you and something that will make you happy... but the derision of my education, the things that matter to me, and implying that I have wasted a shit-ton of money and four years of my life is patently uncool.
