I have to say I concur. And additional comments from the peanut gallery aside, you're entitled to opinion... and so are we... and I'm going to voice my opinion on your opinion

i think some of you guys might be taking what chris was saying too personally. as someone who also transferred because of various reasons, i can safely say that there are good things about more "mainstream" schools and there are bad things, just as there are good things about sarah lawrence and bad things. i dont think he was trying to "dis" everyone that still goes to sarah lawrence, say that you are spending too much money, or anything else like that. he was just giving his reasons for leaving and his reasons for enjoying his time at his new school. i think that by taking this post as an implication that your own choices, decisions, and interests dont matter is almost exactly the kind of attitude that a lot of people at sarah lawrence have, and is definitely one of the reasons i left. he wasnt (i dont think) trying to imply that anyone that stays at sarah lawrence is stupid for doing so, he was just saying it wasnt his cup of tea. he said "i figured out the academic program of sarah lawrence just isnt to my taste". that means him,

Personally what I am trying to say is that I get why he left and that I am not angry about that, and he definately has the right to find things wrong with SLC but the whole tone of this post is rude. "I know go to a school with classes that interest me and MATTER" is a pretty harsh way of putting it especially when he is addressing those of us who go here and I feel that our classes MATTER. I don't think anyone takes issue with him being happy or talking about the school but there is a big difference from the tone of "I figured out the academic program of sarah lawrence wasn't from me" and some of the other parts. Also the *cough cough* part was rather uncalled for in my opinon especially because I found out from George that Chris was transferring/had transferred. I think personally I am pointing out in my that I feel hurt by his comments like very personally hurt and that perhaps he could have written this post in a way that did not hurt so many people's feelings.
