YAY for distractions!
I guess I've been distracted again, so much that I haven't posted as much as I would have liked while I'm here. With that I'll make tonight's post short. Pretty much these past few days have been good, besides the fact that it just WON'T STOP SNOWING!!! Argh! Seriously...all I want is to enjoy my time here, yet it's been pretty much snowing everyday here, to the point where it's hard to even go out and do anything. ::sigh::
Thankfully it hasn't been so bad to the point where we couldn't drive at all. Saturday was the only day we couldn't leave and Heinz actually had to cancel our Sushi Recap lesson. It was frustrating, but as long as we can leave the house this week things should be okay.
Quick recap:
Thursday we first got up and went out to get our Rental Car. Hehehe I'm excited since my new rental is a hot red 2009 Toyota Camry!! I must say it's a little big, but it's a really nice car! After this we decided to go to IHOP for breakfast! YUMMMY! It was great. Did some shopping at Wally World for food and then it was back home since Marc had a doctor's appointment. Then later on we went out to TjMaxx and The Exchange for some shopping and had dinner at Red Robin, which was yummy. Gotta love their Schroom Burger!
Friday we decided to first go to the Bread Store to get some yummy bread, then stopped by TjMaxx to return some clothes I bought the day before, and then we went to Maggianos for dinner. Then in order to walk off some of the food we had, we walked around the Beachwood Mall aka what I call to be the Rich Mall. LOL. Lots of expensive clothes! I didn't find anything there though. After that we wanted to check out Legacy Village quickly and see if there was anything new there, plus stop by the MAC store.
On our way to Legacy we noticed a new store in there - Nordstrom RACK. We had never seen that store before and decided to check it out. It's pretty much like a Filene's Basement, just this one is owned by Nordstrom. Boy was I happy I stopped by there, because they ended up having HL bags, in prints I didn't own!! I was sooo excited and ended up buying two bags. Sadly they also had a watch there, but it wasn't in good condition so I ended up not getting them.
After this great catch, we quickly went over to the MAC store. Now before I go any further I should probably say why I was going there. Well when we first got here, I found out that Marc's Mom had bought an iPod Touch. She wanted to try to learn how to use it so she gave it a shot, but apparently she wasn't having much luck with it. I told her how I'd love to check it out, since I've been debating on buying one myself, but had never been able to try one out. After playing around with it for less than a day, Marc's Mom saw that I loved it (which I did, it was fun to play around with), and with that suddenly said: "Since I guess you like it, and actually know how to use that thing. Happy Early Birthday!" Boy was I confused. Apparently she had been getting really frustrated with it, that she really didn't want it anymore. Needless to say I was pretty much stunned! On top of that...it turned out to be the 32GB iTouch, which was the one I wanted but didn't think I could ever get due to the price of it.
So yea...I'm still pretty stunned, however I guess I really do enjoy having it, since she keeps seeing me play around with it and keeps saying that she's happy I'm enjoying it and actually know how to use it. Plus Marc's kinda enjoying it too..which he doesn't want to admit since it's a MAC..LOL..yea we're normally PC people...it's funny.
So now it makes sense as to why we went to the MAC store. I wanted to check out the cases they had for it, since I wanted to protected it. The last thing I want is my new iTouch getting ruined. We ended up being there for a little bit, but then went home since the snow was just getting worse outside.
Saturday wasn't a good day as I wrote before. Sushi lesson ended up getting canceled which sucked!! Heinz is going to try to make it up to me sometime this week. So then we ended up staying in, until 6 pm, when Marc's Dad and Girlfriend came to pick us up. We all went out for dinner at Rachel's which is a great Jamaican Restaurant! The Cajun Burger I had there was amazing! After this we went to spend some time with Marc's Grandma for a few hours and then came back.
Sunday wasn't that crazy either coz of the snow. Sadly we ended up staying in, since people were also coming over to install the blinds for the kitchen. At 4:30 pm we ended up going to Otani's for dinner. It was nice, plus it wasn't that crowded there which is always good. To walk it off, Marc and I ended up stopping by Marshalls and Walmart afterwards. Then it was back home to watch the Golden Globes.
Today should be a good day. We're planning on going to Cici's for lunch, then shop a little and then back home. Not sure where we're going for dinner yet. I'm also hoping to go see Bride Wars with Marc's Mom sometime this week. Hopefully she'll have enough energy to go out and see it with me.
Well I really should get to bed, since we need to be up at 11 am. I want to get some sleep. Sorry if my thoughts are all over the place I hope they made sense. I really need to post pictures too on facebook tomorrow. Well take care everyone, and please be safe with all this snow going on. I heard about this HORRIBLE pileup in NH.
