Talk about quick...
Mom, my grandparents and grandma from Germany were suppose to come today to Keene and spend some time with Marc and I, especially where grams from Germany has NEVER been to Keene, let alone seen where I live. However....first they get here and didn't tell me they were in Keene, so I'm upstairs in my PJ's cleaning my room...because that's what I try to do on my days off. So they are here and Mom shows the house around the grandma..and the usual "oh this place is such a mess" and "this and this needs to be done!" comes out. Of course my response is "well this is why I took 1 1/2 weeks off from work next week, so I can work on all of this!". It goes on and on...
Then Solvs calls and says that she's in Portsmouth and her car is giving her issues. Of course that's the luck right there. It sucks for Solvs that this happend to her car...however it also sucks for me because I wanted to spend some time talking to my Mom about stuff regarding the house, and it REALLY sucks for them...because they just drove an hour to get here...just to drive 2 hours back to Portsmouth to help Solvs after only being here for maybe 40 minutes! And with gas prices so crazy and mileage on the car..yea...not good. I feel really bad for Mom, and I also hope everything will be okay with Solvs car. I swear though..her Jetta has issues. Still in all...this sucks.
I guess on the bright side I suddenly have the entire day to myself. I wasn't sure what we were going to do today, but now at least there is plenty of time to do stuff around the house. Plus I think I'm going to make Sushi for dinner tonight, since it's been a while.
Ugh...my time off needs to come...yea I know I don't want to have to do all that stuff in the house, however it means time off from work, and I'll take that. I need a break from that place, plus I can't stand stuff in this house the way they are. I'm really thinking of moving stuff around in my room. Something just needs to change in here. Maybe I need some new pieces of furniture...we'll see. I don't want to buy too much. I do know that I'm going through EVERYTHING in my room, so stuff is either going to get tossed, fixed, sold or put nicely away! I'm just done with holding onto junk! I have two weekends off from work, so one of those should be perfect for a small yard sale. Never done one...should be fun though.
Hmm....I think I'm going to finish organizing my DVD's, then maybe get rid of the bags from the engagement party, have a bite to eat, do some stuff on the computer i.e. transfer stuff around since my 400 GB external HD is full. I need to move some stuff over to the 1 TB HD. Then I think I want to go to Target and Bed, Bath and Beyond. There is just something bothering me with the living room...and I want to see if I can fix it. I'm not going to go spend happy here...however I need to make this place comfortable. Ugh..and I still don't know what to do with the couches. The little one has filling coming out of it. Ugh...
Anyway...I hope everything will be okay with Solvs car. I guess there is nothing I can do...just wished I could have spent more time with my family. ::le sigh::
I guess I'm off for now..maybe I should eat something first coz I feel blah. hmmm...
