I am the Sushi Chef!! ^_^

So today I FINALLY made Sushi for Marc, his mom and I. I also finally got to do different ones that I had never done before. It was sooo much fun even though I spent a good 4 hours in the kitchen, however during that time I made 3 rolls, 2 servings of 6x hand sushi, plus I cooket another batch of rice and prepared the veggies, shrimp and everything else, so I honestly think I'm getting faster.

So...please step into my kitchen as the sushi experience begins...:

To start off I had the whole kitchen to myself. heheh So I had this huge counter area. As you can see I have my cutting board, bamboo roll, bowl of rice, shrimp, cut cucumber, cut avocado, mushrooms, immetation crab meat, seasame seeds, wasabi, japanese mayo, seaweed sheets, sharp knife, chopstick and water for my hands. Plus I had lots of paper towels and special Kikoman's Sashimi & Sushi Soy Sauce. Plus my nice serving board.

Another closer look at the ingredients.

Hand-Made Sushi(Nigiri-Zushi)

The first batch of Sushi I made was Ebi (Shrimp handroll) and Sake (smoked salmon handroll). Besides the rice and the fish I added a little Japanese Mayo and it was sooo yummy.

Futo-maki (thick roll)-California Roll

This is sorta your basic California roll, however I did a few changes since Marc doesn't like cucumber and we didn't have carrots. Wrapped in seaweed I had the crab, mushroom, avocado, rice, japanese mayo and sesame seeds, and when we took a bite of it...I think we almost all fell over it was just THAT good.

Inside-Out Roll

Once again I used the exact same ingredients I used in the california roll, except I did sneak in some cucumber, plus it's rolled so the rice is on the outside and I put sesame seeds around it. Came out really good..but a pain to make.

Second batch

Basically I made another round of stuff, however in the two for me, I put wasabi instead of the mayo. Marc and his mom don't like wasabi, and I'm actually able to tolorate it now. ^_^

These were for me, since Marc appearntly was TOO full to eat more. LOL This is like the past rolls, but I put EVERYTHING in them. wasabi and the mayo. It was just sooo good. ^_^

Yes I am impressed with myself, plus I think Marc and his mom REALLY enjoyed it. I mean their faces looked like they liked it just as were it made at Otani's. So yea...me very happy. I think tomorrow I'll use the left over rice to try to make a Philadelphia roll...coz I forgot we had the stuff for it. LOL

Anyway...sorry to have wasted this entry with Sushi babble...but with all the work I put into make today really good, I felt it was journal worthy. Till tomorrow everyone..coz I think I'm going to play some RCT3 while Marc plays his games. heheh..

Miss you all! <333

night night ♥

PS: Now I understand Sandra and her love for the mustangs even more. Damn do they have a lot of power under their hood!! Marc's mom and I went grocery shopping for the sushi stuff yesterday and we took her red mustang and rode it with the top down. Killer speaker system too!! That was an awesome time!! I was soooo thinking of you dear <3
