Through hell to the other side...
Bought the new version of the downward spiral, its strange how something that has inspired you so much also has the power to deter you from ever wanting to attempt making anything again. The new mastering is just inspired, this is what it shouldve always sounded like. I dont think ill ever be able to go back to the original cd again, ever. Its certainly gonna be a reference point for when i come to master some of this stuff.
But on the other side of the coin, he has also included some of the original demos for tds on the second disc. And its like... woah! i can hear imperfections in here! Trent is human!!!! So its sortve a full circle kinda thing, so i wont get too upset about it. But anyway, back to my music...
The Dreams
Ive been forming this idea for a while now, i still am. But regardless of the three sections that i think the album is going to have, there will be a fourth narrative, this is the journey she goes on through her dreams and this is where the resolution will come from at the end of the album. These will run through hte other three sections and possibly end the story. My last post could quite possibly contain the words that will end it, im debating whether to finish in the real world or not. But anyway, as im still working on the first three tracks its hard to think too far ahead. So ill leave it at that for now...
