Here I am at my first phase of USAF flight training in Pueblo, CO. I'm only here for six weeks, at which point I'll return to Pensacola (where I had just finished setting up my apartment) to complete the rest of my flight training.
My phone has been out of ocmmission and will be until Monday most likely. So if you've been trying to call me, that's why you've been having no luck. I didn't watch the debates, but I have caught a little political coverage, and I have been watching our bipolar stock market go through wild emotional swings. At this point, however, I'm just happy to be earning a pay check, especially given how many of my friends are faring in the current job market.
Days here are 12 hours long, and for this first week, it's entirely "Death by Powerpoint" academic briefings, most of which is shoot-me-now-level boring. But this Tuesday we'll get our first chance to don our flight suits and take our planes up for a spin around Colorado. PT up here is tough, mostly because of the altitude. We took a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) up here on our first day, which made me and everyone else run the 1.5 miles a minute slower than weusually do. I plan to fix that before I leave here.
Also, I'm thinking of getting ooVoo. Has anybody else had any experience with it?
