There's no greater adventure than life.
# So it's been ages since my last update. Well, life has been keeping me busy, both with the little things and big things. For example, my grandmother is in the hospital for the second time in three/four weeks. She just went in earlier this evening because she was at the risk of suffering a blood clot, after only being home for three days after a visit at the hospital and then rehab home due to her operation. She also suffered pneumonia the first time around at the hospital so that first night she was in pretty critical condition after a lifetime of being healthy. But I have faith in the Swedish hospital care system so I'm not super worried, although then again I'm not allowing myself thinking too much about it either.
# Another pretty big thing is that me and two friends are going overseas to Golden Sands, Bulgaria in September for a week. This will be my second overseas trip in the same year and that's a new personal record for me. Bulgaria is also a completely new country for me to discover, much like Egypt was. I have yet to compile a list of all things to bring with me, but I still got over four weeks left to do that. I'm due back at the clinic again August 24 after five weeks of vacation, which is mostly spent just relaxing at home. Sure, I like to keep busy but in the end it's actually very important to relax during the vacation since you tend to stay really busy during the work season. Only sad thing now is that all my favorite shows are on hiatus. :(
# Luckily I finally got to pick up my four ordered books today! Summer is the season of the year where I read the most. I'm a big fan of Sarah Dessen and her book Just Listen I've been meaning to get my hands on for nearly three years now. At last I ordered Just Listen and Lock and Key as well as two Kelley Armstrong books, The Awakening and The Summoning. Armstrong's books are actually kind of like BTVS from what I've gathered from the synopsis. I'm planning on start reading the first book in the trilogy, The Awakening, tomorrow and see what it's all about.
# Also, it seems that almost every electronic thing I own, currently hates me. I'm going into town tomorrow to trade in my current DVD player for a new one of the same value, due to the busted DVD remote. My totally incompetent laptop needs a complete makeover, including any other system than Windows Vista. My cellphone will be handed into my closest operator store to be send off for a two-weeks-service since something is wrong with its software. Don't get me wrong, I love the English language, but when you can't choose another language on a Swedish cellphone and the problem isn't the SIM card, something is not right. And last but not least, my digital recording box needs a software update because right now it keeps shutting off and rebooting whenever it feels like it. So basically, my iPod is the only thing behaving right now and that can change pretty quickly with my incredible luck.
