After a third day of visiting the garden with the blue butterfly and finding the hopelessly sneezy man and lending him yet another handkerchief she finally asked him, "why don't you carry a handkerchief of your own?"

The man blushed, but he couldn't ignore the fact that this was the third time he'd found himself dabbing at his nose with her handkerchief. "I'm not usually so sneezy."

"If you have a cold you should probably be in bed."

The man shakes his head. "I don't. I'm just incredibly sneezy in China."

"Have you been here before then?"

"No, but I've been here for a couple weeks and I've basically spent them sneezing."

"Do you think you could be allergic to China?"

"Oh, possibly. It'd be just my luck to be allergic to such a fascinating place."

"It is wonderful, isn't it?"

"And, you, is this your first time to China?"

"Yes, but I plan to return often for business."

"Business? You're a business woman?"

"I suppose so. I've taken over my father's company."

"That's amazing. I'm here for business too, but that's not such a feat."

"It must have been dreadfully uncomfortable before I arrived."

"What?"

"Well, I've been supplying you with handkercheifs. Previously you must have been dripping all over the place."

He blushed. "I just don't like the idea of needing a handkercheif. It's a little white flag of surrender."

"You've been surrendering to me."

He blushed deeper. "You're irresistable."

Alice smiled, pleased. "Thank you. That means I've still got my muchness."
