Oh cod oh shit oh cod oh shit. The Empress - the Condesce - she's here and she'll cull you all if she gets the chance. Just - let me handle her. Please. Please. Don't get near her please please please

Marisa, she's -- she's my ancestor but she's not like me at all, she's immortal and she's murderous and -- just promise me you won't go near her because I don't want anyone getting hurt.
But she did, I heard it over the phone. And I'm the first one she'll go after because she won't just sit and let her heiress run around alive. I just don't want anyone else getting hurt.
Don't worry about me, ze. I can fly. [And currently blow any newly arrived person to smithereens, even this big bad troll.] Be there in five. And get a first aid kit ready.

[And she does that, even if she's pacing. Even if she has that culling fork out just in case. She's that scared and freaked out. She's trying, though.]
[She looks tired by the time she comes downstairs with her double-ended trident in one hand and the first-aid kit in the other. Constant panic will do that to someone.]
No problem, ze. Now sit down and tell me more about this big bitch. Not how horrible she is, but actual abilities and facts, ze. No theory, no past deed stuff. I totally get that she's absolutely horrible.
[Marisa starts taking things out of her bag, including a very sharp-looking white-handled knife.]
[Feferi takes a few deep breaths, still holding on to her weapon like a crutch as she sits down.]
She's practically immortal as it is now. She's been the Empress for hundreds of sweeps - two earth years is about one sweep - and she's power-hungry and determined to hold on to it.
The thing is, she can also extend one's life if she's inclined. She's held someone captive for a very, very long time by artificially expanding his lifespan. It's not bringing someone back, it's just expanding it. And it's a fate worse than death, really. She only does it if she can use the person in some way, so it makes them her prisoners
( ... )
Okay... Hmm... The ward I'll place here is going to be a temporary one until I can research a better one. Until she gets her troll body back, I can only use a passive ward. I'll need a list of people you want unaffected by the ward.
[Marisa takes out a couple vials - one empty - and a few other things. A couple stones and some herbs. She then uncorks the vial and picks up the knife.]
[Feferi nods, going to get a pen and paper and writing down a list. It's everyone who lives there, her close friends, her allies from home, her friends here. Once she's done, she holds out her arm.]
Okay. Just...don't be surprised that it's purple. Okay?
I was prepared the moment you mentioned different blood colors, ze.
[Marisa gently cuts Feferi's arm and watches the purple blood well up. She squeezes a little to increase the flow and takes the vial to it. Once filled, she cleans and bandages the wound.]
This will be very important, ze. Since you and her have the same blood, once she has her troll body back, I'll be able to bar her from entering places. [more or less]

[She sounds like she's having a panic attack.]

...and it was probably a drone, ze.
Look. Lemme come over and ward your house. It'll keep your house safe until you're calm and stuff. Okay?

I -- okay. Just be careful and if you see anyone tall with about a shitton of black hair, leave. Please.

[Looking at it reminds her. Bleeding purple is no different than bleeding blue or green or red. It's all the same.
She needed that reminder, even if she's believed it as long as she can remember. It's strangely calming.]
That's a good thing. It'll help, in the long run, at least keeping this place as a Condesce-free zone.
