You know, he's right about the erections part. But he shouldn't blame women for that. :-p
Don't hate him. He's a product of his age. And he probably had no women like you around from whose wrath to benefit. ;-) Surely it's possible to forgive some of the things he says, while embracing the rest?
But it's these comments that some denominations still cling to (I've noticed hard core southern baptists are the worst) and that bothers me. I mean, they don't cling to them entirely, but there are entire cults of girls, like those that cling to the Barlow Girl phenomenon, that think it's THEIR fault. So, they have to change how they act etc as to not tempt women because of course it's the woman's fault.
I don't know enough about the courtship thing to say what I think of it. But I personally am not into the "dating game" at all. For one thing, I always lose (I can say that to you), but for another, I know I have a tendency to let my hormones run away with me. And I know young people do, too. I think some degree of dating, especially at my age, is necessary, just for the sake of getting to know somebody, but I don't want to spend a lot of time in parked cars or in girls' bedrooms. That's gotten me into trouble before. And I don't think "picking up" dates is ever a good idea
