"Yes, Oneechan?"

She smiles brightly and goes to give her sister a hug.

"I have a present for you."

She remembers Ran-chan telling her that her brother was hurt by a car, just like Ran. So she thinks that just like Ran, Ran-chan might have lost all her family pictures too.

Her hands shake as she holds out a black gift box. Inside is a small leather family album with copies of the pictures she and Ran had in common and a silver picture frame.

She blinks in surprise. "Thank you."

When she opens the box her hands start to shake as well, and her eyes tear up. "Oh, thank you! This is the best present ever!" Aya-chan is so getting hugged now. (And cried on, but mostly hugged.)

Aya-chan droops with relief. She was so worried that the present would be upsetting or weird. The tears seem to be happy tears.

"I'm so happy you like it. It was Ran's idea, really."

He reminded her that her brother and sister were not fortunate enough to get to keep their photos.

She snuggles her baby sister and tries to pet her hair, hoping to calm her.

"Thank you so much! I can't wait to scan the pictures so I can show Omi how cute Niichan used to be!" Sister snuggles are the best.

"Wasn't he adorable?"

She smiles. "I'm so glad you and Omi are still close."

[orchidsblood]

"We email a lot, and call sometimes. I haven't gotten to see him since the team split up though. I email the other guys too, but they just aren't as into sitting and writing me, I guess."

"Why don't you go visit him?"

[orchidsblood]

"I'm too busy with school and work. And we split up so that we wouldn't attract attention. I'm not even going to school under my real name. Omi and Yohji stayed together since they're a couple, but Ken and I went off seperately."

[dream_departed]

"I'm so sorry. Do you think it would be safe to meet him here in the Nexus?"

[orchidsblood]

"I... I'd have to think about it. I haven't told him about this place, and I'm not sure if I should."

[dream_departed]

"You'd know best if you should. I just want you to be happy. It's not good being without your best friend."

She really misses Nagi.

[orchidsblood]

She smiles a little. "Yeah. Maybe in a few months things will cool down and I'll have a little time...."

[dream_departed]

"Cool down? Are people still after you?"

[orchidsblood]

"Sort of. Weiß were painted as terrorists by that bastard Takatori. Every once in a while, the subject comes up when people are talking about the police or political matters."

[dream_departed]

"He's dead now." She tries to sound comforting and reaches out to pat Ran on the shoulder.

"If I can ever help make things easier at all for you, please let me know. I want to help."
