I ♥ Tom Brokaw
While watching Letterman last night (olde ladyee that I am) I incisively cemented my newscaster old guy crush on Tom Brokaw. His cute turtle-like face! That deep raspy sweetly level voice! Those smart and witty asides!Ummm...DREAMBOAT!
Not only did he volley back to Letterman's query about where the two of them could tie the knot now that Prop 8 in California was passed: "You left me on the steps of the Municipal Building in San Francisco yesterday, I dont know that I want to get hurt again!"
-BUT-
He also used the word Post Modern, and deftly admitted to not really knowing what it meant...which as I understand it is entirely Post Modern in and of itself. First newscaster-guy to use the word Post Modern on the TV? I think so. Also he writes books and says lots of smart things that make sense to me on so many levels.
I have a ton of pictures from the last week or so that I want to upload and share: Day of the Dead, Halloween, new office, etc. Who knows when I'll get around to doing it, if I do. Just sayin' I've been meaning to.
Wow...I am just processing the hugeness of my new job (WHICH I AM IN LOVE WITH!!) and soaking up the results of the election at the same time. There is so much happening! ! !
Things I can share about my new jobby job:
I am effectively: HR department, IT department, Office Manager & Paralegal all rolled into one. I so far adore the three attorney's I work for, they are down to earth, no nonsense, and really nice. I am teaching myself the job as I go, which is a trip and I must say I am doing a fabulous job. I really like the self sufficiency of it and the responsibility and all that good stuff. Which reminds me I should probably get back to work now.
