Last night I went to yoga to take a break from watching NBC and secret hater/Debbie Downer Brian Williams who gravely held back any excitment whatsoever about what a fucking wickedly amazing historic moment this is. Meghan gave a really good talk about one of yoga sutras that reminds us to be compassionate to all (in the context of election night). By the time I pulled into my parking spot at home after class there were audible cheers and fireworks rising up all over capital hill. I looked down at my phone to see at text from Shannon "He did it!"
I teared up and raced upstairs immediatley to watch McCain's concession speech (punctuated by immature boos from the children of the GOP) and then Obama's acceptance speech. I am fucking tearing up right now just typing this and thinking about it.
