Yup, faster than I thought, I have a girlfriend. The girl I mentioned before, Amanda.
But my subconscious mind keeps calling her "Kat the Second".
There are a lot of similarities. She's shorter than me, pale skin, dark hair. Younger than me, but legal. She's never had a relationship before, and following up on her obvious interest in me, I was her first kiss. So now I'm her first boyfriend. She's thoughtful and sweet, and intelligent.
Differences: she's not Pagan, but has friends who are. She doesn't want to have sex before marriage, which I don't think is a good idea, but will respect. She's not bi. ...if there are other things, I can't currently think of them.
I mean, they're obviously two different people, but my mind can't help making the comparison. Although I still have Kat as a friend, I hope that this relationship involves less emotional pain. Since I don't leave the country on a regular basis anymore, I'm sure it will. That was a big part of my misery right there. I make no predictions or expectations for this relationship; I just hope I don't hurt her.
We're going on our first date tomorrow night, to see some movie or other. Neither of us knows what's playing, just that we don't want to see The Grudge 2. I'll have to look up movies soon.
But even sooner, I need to get ready to go. One of Mandy's friends, Jenn (a bi Pagan) is going with me to the Suicide Girls burlesque show in Northampton. It's quite a drive, first to pick up Jenn then to Northampton and back again. But it should be a good time. At least I don't have to be at school until 10 tomorrow.
Also, my closet's nearly finished. Yay! :) I frequently ask if he needs help, but Marc's pretty much got things under control. One more wall and the project's done. I'll still have to paint the walls and stuff, but that's stuff I can do on my own. Now I've got a place to PUT some of this stuff laying around.
