The march towards unemployment continues, though its getting more real, if that makes sense. I've kinda been ignoring it so far as its only just been over 4 1/2 weeks since we were told.
I've had to train 5 people how to do parts of my job, assisting another two and more temps are on the way for the end of Tax year. Its been a little grating training my replacements, but what the hell, I've done the best I can. and I'm going to milk it in monthly reviews that training is not part of my job per se and look I'm appartently good at it. still find that odd, people actually prefer my training to some others and I've had positive feedback on it
but the really depressing thing was filling in skills matrix thing for internal application. Five and half years with the firm came to four brief paragraphs that didn't say much.
my quality and productivity have slipped a bit which isn't good as they go towards objectives which determine potential bonus.
nearly on sick target again as had two days off ill the other week, first sickness since last feb, excluding the two weeks for op in may - Which I was assuraed would not count towards any sick targets - but guess what, it does, but there's a note in my file to take into consideration... the worse part was that if i had been ill two weeks later it would have been over a year and reset apparently. God, I Hate our sickness system
got briefed on end of tax year plans, no Easter again as the bank holiday Monday is normal working day for us, but on the plus side no midnight shift this time.
I have a new computer game to distract me, white knight chronicles - odd start up as requires over 2 GB of system memory on console and to customise an avatar, that will be used in online co-op stuff to replace main character. built something quickly as game manuel said you could change at save points.
the amount of customisation was insane, five different settings for the nose?!
It did not mention, however that this thing was in all your cutscenes and is actually in your party! worse still, you can change it at saves, but only with a make over ticket which you have to get online from the Playstation store for real £££'s
suffice to say due to this and a few mistakes with skills at start, I am starting again after 1 1/2 hours play and will build a more attractive character.
Friday tomorrow - trying to summon willpower to not to go out with work on piss up for rugby, payday and company of week at bar with cheap drinks. I suspect I will not be successful
