works sucks and then you get made redundent
My department is being moved to another part of the country. My job will not be in Cardiff by the end of june 2010.
Was formally briefed and put on risk of provisional redundancy today.
There have been rumors of this for awhile, but the move was denied each time with a "there are no plans at this time". Clearly there were.
we get to work the end of tax year, help train the processes and migrate them to Hove and then redunancy or redeployment into another part of the firm which has downsived considerably over the last 18 months, so not overly confident there. oh and its timed well, so annunal bonus is in july, we will be gone by june so nearly full year of work, but no bonus.
This after i finally felt comfortable enough to invest in a long term savings scheme with them. jinxed myself there.
More actual details are yet to be provided. I very much got the impression we had to briefed now in January so that they could legally get it done by June for required timescales and savings. The entire presenation was not as organised as the last one in the old department two years ago. though i'm sure this will come in more briefings over the next couple of days.
and why an ****ing monday! I can't even have a drink as in work at seven in morning and i had to stay late for the breifing as it was!
