By the way, Royal Enfield is currently the oldest motorcycle brand still in production, and the 500cc Bullet  - the oldest running model in the world. I know most people today will frown on it, but personally it makes me very proud that my 2011 motorcycle is generally pretty much identical to the way his grandfather was 70 years ago;)

On a more updated note, one thing I noticed outright, back in the dealership, was that the side stand of most Bullets is bent a little too low, giving the motorcycle a rather awkward ~50 degree angle when leaning on it. Not too awful, but another thing that caught my eye is that when you turn the front forks all the way to the left in this position, which is the "natural" leaning pose of the bike, the front fender bends a little from the steep angle of the wheel and the bike. Over time the fender, being chrome coated plastic rather than metal, gets fucked up permanently.
Anyway, so today I went about straightening the front fender before it gets too far. There is not much you can really do without dismantling the front wheel, so I just added a few washers on two opposing bolts that hold the fender in place, and it looks like it solved much of the problem for now. Next step will be bending back the sidestand to make for a more suitable leaning angle. No idea how to handle that, yet - maybe I'll just replace it altogether.
