Back in Williamstown after a lovely few days up in Maine with Dave and his family, then a terrible bus ride, a nice dinner at Sam's house, and a pretty but very cold early morning car ride through New Hampshire back to town. Winter study is very cute, of course, but sometimes a painful reminder of my ridiculous freshman year. Getting to see Lori, just back from Italy, and to spend a night lying in bed with Lori, Goggins, and Bonnie, was exactly what I needed. My quilting class is exciting -- major sensory overload from picking out fabrics for projects, and I'm not terrible at hand sewing so far. "Winter study is a magical time" I told/warned my frosh yesterday, and sure enough I spent last night bouncing between a cranium game and some other antics afoot, finding out about all sorts of gossip, and going on cleanup duty. Sounds like winter study to me!
