for old time's sake

Hope everyone had a merry Christmas who wanted to have one!

I'm certainly not one to break tradition, and I'm also curled up on a couch a little bored, so here's the new year's survey. Lets hope it's as cute in years to come as previous ones are now.

1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
was a JA, went on most significant campus roofs, took a tutorial, learned to figure skate (sort of), ghost rode spring street, wore a velour track suit for 72 hours, went streaking, went skinny dipping (ahh Williams)

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't usually do resolutions, at least not explicitly.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not very close

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not close personally, but still significant

5. What countries did you visit?
England to see the bro over spring break. I even made it there and back with an expired passport. Also Canadia.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
More self-confidence, a little more personal security/peace of mind

7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
erm, I'm no good with dates, but probably the end of August when we got here, and then the kiddies arrived (Aug 31?)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I had a cool summer job that I enjoyed and was also important for the campus community -- yay!

9. What was your biggest failure?
I'm not big on "failure," but maybe how I still haven't consistently kept in shape, not even really over the summer.

Not more that the usual cold.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
ummm, probably tea.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
hehe, whooo! friends and family (that's what I say every year, I think)

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
oof, let's not talk about that. but politicians i guess.

14. Where did most of your money go?
tea, textbooks, the occasional clothing/music, thai garden meals

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
haha, this is a difficult question for me. but being a JA, just lots of time spent with good people.

"I Feel It All" -- Fesit

Reading for class. Reading not for class. (Good answer, Zoe!!)

I usually say stressing. Worrying, too.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:
sometimes you just have to take it one day at a time. or one minute at a time. and that can be an accomplishment when you get through it.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"I'll end it though you started it!" that doesn't really sum it up, but that's okay.
