While watching and blogging about I Wanna Marry "Harry" I realized I'd recognized the mansion where the show was being filmed from other TV shows and some movies. The manor posing as Deerfield on the show is actually Englefield House in Berkshire, England.

There's a story that's recently made international news about a father in the state of Washington who beat his 16-year old daughter with switches (tree branches), then made her put on armor and fight with wooden swords.
