I said about 18 months ago that a
credit bust wasn't far away. I wasn't entirely wrong there.
I had thought that consumer credit was drying up. I'm not now quite so sure. My partner has just rung the bank to complain about a cash machine swallowing a card. After they dealt with that - no, no reason for it, probably just a cock-up by that machine, we've cancelled that one and will pop a new one in the post - they offered a loan. Eh?
Could it be the demand for credit is drying up faster than the supply?
