Columbia Music got a TON of money from me, but only their classical division. We had crap-all for record stores in Baton Rouge, and New Orleans didn't have Tower Records until I left the state.

I was never a Columbia House member but I wanted to be so bad. I would stare at the ads in the back of the TV Guide and decide what music I would by with my penny- because totally, six tapes for one cent totally wasn't a gimmick. We listened to country at the time, and man, I would have bought some Faith Hill and Martina McBride. (I already had all the Garth Brooks I could have ever wanted!)
