dear cody,
i (you) am deleting my (your) past two posts because they were rough-drafts of the essay and annoying. ever the perfectionist, right? you (i) really should check on that, asap.
anyway, there were many good comments, and i (we) would hate to see them disappear into oblivion. so, i (you) am cut-n'-pasting them so my (our) future self (him) can look back and remember.

tropigalia: Quite honestly, it was an accident but you're free to interpret it anyway you please! I like the idea that panda bears may give off a sense of urgency or impeding doom. Let's go with that! Unfortunately, the truth is rather boring. I had a Firefox window open with this entry, all set to read your story/article but then I got into an argument with some silly person on livejournal and decided that instead of trying to refute their logistically unsound points, I'd reply with pictures of pandas. At one point I accidentally commented on your journal with a picture of a panda. So here are my profuse and sincere apologies!

cody: i find that when i'm worried someone might think something about me, i just come right out and confront it. "now, you might be thinking i'm a stupid confused straight girl, BUT...." then the hard part is giving a really killer and cleverly-worded reason to fuck with their heads :P
