Oh come on. Fess up. You meant "ravages." Because "ravishes" is a conjugated form of the transitive verb "to ravish," the noun (plural) form of which is "ravishments." Not to mention that the word (ravish) itself implies either confiscation, rape, or rapture, and clearly you are indicating another event in your narrative. As well, contextual evidence (obtained by a simple search engine comparison)indicates that the most common use of the word "Ravage" is in the plural and specifically in reference to the devastation wrought by misconduct or disease, such as the "ravages of tuberculosis." Compare a google search for "ravages of" (1,780,000 hits) with one for "ravishes of" (1,390 hits), and attempt to read some of the statements in the latter cohort. Simple mistake, really. There's no shame in that.

I suppose I oughtn't to correct you, though, seeing as how I type, spell, and speak poorly* to begin with.

Asshole
Arrogant
Asinine
Acidic
Amoral
Angsty
Apathetic
Acerbic

The "A" is really multipurpose.

*that is, if "poorly" can be interpretted to mean "with nigh-supernatural and inviolable authority on all possible topics within the realm of being."

god!

i am not only impressed by your utter resolve to prove your point (thus showing that i was wrong, which admitedly i was -- touche) but also somewhat disheartened that so much precious time, energy, natural resources and TLC were wasted in the formulation of above rebuttal when there are starving children in china! nice work -- you must be ravished!!

FAMISHED! FAMISHED! FAMISHED!

The truly impressive artifact for display here is my available free time, and willingness to devote said time to such a thankless task as the one in which I have been most presently engaged, sir. As you know, we are, perhaps, not utilized as best we might be.

As for China, I tried helping once, but the simple fact of the matter is that China refuses to accept the inflexibility of subject-verb agreement. We decided it would be best if I left and returned my key. Sigh...what happened to you China!? You used to be cool!

Don't be disheartened...you deserve the "TLC" that I am "figuratively" showering upon you. Wink.

What?
