Hi! So for the first step, we can't do any prep except for cropping, resizing & sharpening the original cap, correct? No adjusting brightness etc? Sorry if this obvious, but since I didn't see your original cap, I'm not sure if you did anything more to the base.

I'm not too picky about what you do to the base or any of the steps really as long as they follow the basic guidelines. Personally, all I did was crop and resize but you're welcome to adjust for brightness a bit if that's what you do to bases or if you have a particularly dark original image.

(I just threw the example together from an icon I made recently, lol. This was the original cap.)

One more question please, what step would include painting over the background or adding/making a fake background? Step #3?

Wherever it works? I would personally do that in step 1 but I think it'd work in any step but #4.

Okay thanks! I'll do that next time if we do this challenge again. All I did was crop the base nothing more.
