New York Fashion Week Spring 2011 Round-Up [2/2]
So here's the second part of my NYFW Spring '11 coverage dedicated to all the gowns I wish I could have in my closet but just can't afford.
Marchesa -> favorite collection in NYFW 2011
Amazing, flawless, gorgoeus, etc. Even the hair of the models (
close-ups) were so ornate and well-accessorized with oversized, encrusted barettes. I can't wait to see these go down the red carpet!
Naem Khan
This season's heavy embroidery and gilded pieces are like daytime pieces for Zuhair Murad (♥♥♥)
Thakoon
A range of trends from sporty, ladylike, to minimalist but still so cohesive from this collection of Mr. Panichgul.
Derek Lam
Max Azria
Not a big fan of the minimal look but I love how these two adopted the trend to give more structured and tailored pieces.
Jill Sander
Port 1961
These two brands are imo the epitome of casual luxe. Simple shapes, simple pieces, but the fabrics and textures are anything but.
(+) On a personal note, I need that midnight blue Jill Sander cape in my life.
Badgley Mischka
Christian Siriano
Monique Lhuillier
Anyone else loving the number of seafoam green pieces in the Spring collections?
J. Mendel
Elie Tahari
Proenza Schouler
Diaphanous, gilded, and textured-- I want them all!
