Notes/Warning Written for the "I Want the Fairy Tale" Valentine's Challenge at dramionedrabble-Day 06 Pride and Prejudice. I used the following quote:
3. From the first moment I met you, your arrogance and conceit, your selfish disdain for the feelings of others made me realize that you were the last man in the world I could ever be prevailed upon to marry.
4. He is just what a young man ought to be.
6. I thought that poetry was the food of love.
7. You have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you.

Draco lay comfortably in bed while his wife of approximately three hours was using his chest as a pillow. They were both trying to catch their breaths. After a beautiful, but short wedding ceremony, they had ditched their own wedding reception only minutes after they had cut the cake and had started their wedding night early.

Draco highly doubted that their guests would miss them. In fact, Draco was fairly certain that the guests had been more than grateful to see the newlyweds leaved the party. Aside from the happy couple themselves, the only ones who had been in favour of the wedding were Lavender Brown, who hoped now that Hermione was married Ron would finally get back together with her, and Luna Lovegood, who had said that she hadn't seen a couple more compatible since she and her father had seen two Blibbering Humdinger during mating season.

Draco didn't care. He knew that, as cheesy as it sounded, Hermione was the right witch for him. He loved her, and for the first time in his life, Draco was completely happy.

"From the first moment I met you, your arrogance and conceit, your selfish disdain for the feelings of others made me realize that you were the last man in the world I could ever be prevailed upon to marry. Just so you know," Hermione whispered.

"I thought that poetry was the food of love. But clearly I was wrong. Brutal honesty is so much more romantic," Draco replied sarcastically. He was running his hand absentmindedly along Hermione's bare back, not in the least fazed by her words.

"Well, I could also say that you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. That would be just as truthful, although maybe slightly less brutal." Hermione conceded, pressing a kiss to Draco shoulder.

"Unless you wish to imply I might have actually put you under a spell or a love potion perhaps?" Draco suggested.

"Have you?" Hermione asked, raising her head to see his face properly. The twinkle in her eyes told Draco that she was just playing. She didn't actually believe that he coerced her into loving him.

"No, Hermione. I promise you have just married me out of your on volition," Draco said, pulling her head down for a kiss.

"Well, since meeting you for the first time, I've come to revaluate my opinion," Hermione said breathlessly once Draco released her mouth.

"So you don't think anymore that I'm a selfish bastard?" Draco asked, quirking an eyebrow. If he recalled correctly, she'd called him exactly that just three days ago.

"Oh no, you definitely are. I've just reached the conclusion that arrogant and conceited is just what a young man ought to be if he is to marry me," Hermione explained matter-of-factly.

"How do you figure that?" Draco asked amused.

"My mother always said that a man and a woman need to complement each other. While you are selfish, I'm a bit too altruistic and while you are conceited, I'm unassuming. You see, we are the perfect couple."

Draco shook his head, smiling. She had forgotten to mention that while she was crazy he was sane, but he thought it best not to mention that. Instead, he turned her on her back and continued their wedding night where they had left off.
