Rules, Regulations, Categories & Other Important Stuff
General Rules:
- Should be a no-brainer, but this is a Draco/Hermione award community. All nominated stories must contain Draco/Hermione as the main relationship.
- Please read the FAQ before asking a question; your question may already be answered!
Dates for Round THREE:
Nominations & Seconding: March 1 - March 21
Preliminary Voting (if needed): March 24 - April 7
Tie-Breaker Round: April 8-9 (24 hours)
Final Voting: April 10 - May 7
Winners Announced: May 10
Rules for Nomination:
- Nominations for Round Three will begin March 1. There are two ways to nominate: the official nomination post
HERE and through email to dramioneawards@gmail.com. All comments will be screened.
- Once a story is nominated, it must then be seconded by another community member. When a story is nominated, it will be listed on the ‘pending’ page. Anyone may second a nomination. Once a story is seconded, it will be moved to the Official Nominees page.

- Each story may be nominated for up to three categories per round PLUS one “Best Scene” category.. If a story is nominated for more than three categories, it will run in the first three categories for which it is nominated.
- Any author may be nominated for ONE story per category, but any number of categories. If an author has two different stories nominated for the same category when voting starts, the author will be contacted for his or her preference. The story chosen by the author will run for the category.
- There are restrictions on past winners. A story cannot run in the same category in which it won during Round 1. A list is provided following the categories.
- During nominations you may nominate an unlimited number of stories per category. However, a category must have at least 3 stories nominated before it will run for the round.
- You may not nominate yourself.
- A story must be nominated and then seconded by a different member who is not the author of the story.
Rules for Voting:
- Once a category has 3 nominations, it will run for voting. However, if there are more than six stories nominated a preliminary voting period will take place to determine the top six stories per category. These six stories will then compete against each other in the final voting.
- You may vote in one of two ways: via screened comment on the official community voting page, or via email. NO anonymous votes will be accepted. Please use the following form to vote:

- Voting will be different in round 3. Each voter will list their top THREE stories in each category, in order of preference. 1 = top choice, 2 = second choice, 3 = third choice. All votes will be weighted. All stories given a “1” vote will receive 3 points. A “2” vote, 2 points; a “3” vote, 1 point. The story with the most points, wins.
- You may vote only once per category. You do not have to vote for all the categories at once. Please do not attempt to vote for the same categories more than once. If I find out you are doing this, you will be banned from the community.

Q What is the point of the community?
A To promote the DM/HG ship and to reward those authors whose stories the community of dramione fans wish to recognize.
Q Who provides the awards graphics?

Q Who started this site?
A He Had It Coming! was created by Tonya. After a couple of rounds she handed the site over to Heidi, who ran it through round three and up to voting on round four. However, she soon when MIA and left the site without an administrator.
juju_bean stepped in because she loved it too much to see it die, and because she knew other people out there wanted it to live.
floorcoaster took over the site in September of 2007 because she wants to see the excellent stories published since the last round get the recognition they deserve! Joining her at the mod position for round 3 are:

Q Can an author have more than one story nominated in the same category?
A No they cannot. However, they may have more than one story nominated per round, as long as each story is nominated in different categories.
Q Nominations have ended, but I forgot to get my nominations in. Can I e-mail them to you?
A No. Once nominations have closed, that's it. All other nominations and e-mails will be ignored.
Q Oops, I've nominated a story in the wrong category! How do I fix this?
A You can make a second comment (in reply to the original), with the correct category. Or you can e-mail the mods with the correct category.
Q Oops, I've posted an incorrect link to the nominated story. What do I do?
A Reply to your comment with the correct link, or e-mail it to the mods.
Q Which awards do you recognize?
A For Round Three, we will give awards for first place and runner-up. All nominees will receive a “Nominated for The Dramione Awards” graphic.
Q In the last round story A won first place in category 1. Can I nominate story A for category 2 this round?
A Yes.
Q What is the difference between a nominee and a finalist?
A When more than six stories have been nominate in one category, a preliminary voting period will take place to narrow the stories down to the top six. The six stories with the most votes will become finalists, and will be voted on in the actual voting period. You can see more about this in the phases post.
Q How long will the awards graphics be up?
A The awards graphics will be posted after the winners are announced, and they will be up on the site and the community for a week before they are taken down. This is to prevent theft while allowing a long enough window of time for the winners to pick up their awards.

How To Nominate A Story:
1. Read the rules.
2. The nominated stories will be posted on the ‘pending’ page. Once a story is on the pending page, you do not need to nominate it for the same category. You may still nominate it for another category.
3. In order to secure a place in the voting, a story must be seconded. To second a story, simply comment to the ‘pending page’ with your list of seconds.
4. We must hear from the author before a story can be moved from the Pending Page to the Nomination Page.
5. Once a story has been seconded, it will be moved from the pending page to the nomination page.

Phase One: Nominations
1. A post is created for people to nominate their favorite stories in the appropriate categories.
2. People with LJ accounts may nominate in the community. Those without LJ accounts may email their nominations using the nomination form (email: dramioneawards@gmail.com)
3. Nominees are moved to a ‘pending’ page. Each nomination must be seconded by someone other than the member who nominated it. We will be keeping records.
4. Categories with fewer than three stories nominated will be taken out of the round. Categories with more than six stories nominated will be pitted against each other in a preliminary voting period.
5. A post will be created on LJ listing the stories for the final vote. Links to each story will be provided. A list of the categories not running will also be provided
6. Voting begins.
Preliminary Voting
In the event that more than six stories are nominated for a single category, there will be a short round of preliminary voting. It will begin March 24 and go through April 7.
Only the category/categories with more than six nominated stories will run in this round.
Phase Two: Voting
1. A post will be created on LJ for people to vote for their favorite stories in their respective categories. Those without LJ may email their votes to dramioneawards@gmail.com using the following form:
