What were you in a past life?
Your mate was always up with the cows and chickens, out being productive. You stayed at home, but not as a lazy woman. Cooking, cleaning, sewing, baking, feeding the hens and hanging up the laundry, you did it all. You were a good wife, a good mother, and you always did your best to take care of your loved ones. Sure, sometimes you wished your hands weren't so worn and rough or that you had a new dress to go dancing, but you knew you had a stable life and you wouldn't have risked that for anything. When you died, your close friends and your family mourned you for years... no one else really knew you'd been there in the first place.
This lifetime, don't be afraid to live a little bit. Family and friends are still important to you and that's a GOOD thing, but it doesn't mean you can't have a bit of fun, too. All that's required is a healthy dose of self-respect and the courage to enjoy yourself for a while. Go out to dinner, buy that new dress, whatever it takes to make your day a bit brighter. You've earned it.
