San Francisco - Time To Say Goodbye

Our last day in San Francisco.

Last night, we had a babysitter so Drama King and I could experience a little of the city after dark. We went to AT&T Park to watch the Giants (yay!) spank the Padres (boo!) 8 -3. Even though I'm not a sports fan, I love going to live sporting events. There's always such fun, excited energy in the air. I like sharing an experience with thousands of strangers. And perhaps, most importantly, I like exorbitantly priced soft pretzels. The Giants fans are amongst the most ardent and friendliest I've met. A woman high fived me in the bathroom!

Our final day was spent being most touristy. We rode a classic cable car to Lombard street, purported to be the world's most crooked street. After snapping several photos, we wandered down to the Cannery for lunch. After lunch, we walked back through Fisherman's wharf, doubled topped up our SALT WATER TAFFY supplies, then headed back to the apartment.

This has been an outstanding trip! Even though I'm looking forward to being home again, I'm going to miss this city. More than that, I'm going to miss being able to spend so much time with my Drama Guys. I've been blessed with such a wonderful family. I'm so glad we had these past two weeks to be just with each other.

Finally, some people leave their hearts in San Francisco. It appears I'm going to leave my voice. I've been stricken with yet another case of laryngitis! Ah, well. I'm sure it will find it's own way back to Ottawa sooner or later.
