According to Lonely Planet, Frommers, my parents-in-law, and tinkerspink it is a tacky, souless tourist trap. But, we're here so we figured we might as well check it out. It is a tacky, souless, tourist trap. However, it has a candy store and in that candy store are barrels and barrels of SALTWATER TAFFY!
We also saw the seal lions lounging by Pier 39 and Drama Prince tried repeatedly to run of with a group of school children on a field trip. So all in all, a worthwhile morning.
It is 28 degrees (celcius). The is no air conditioning in this apartment. That's why I'm writing in my underwear.
