This morning our buyers' home inspector came out to go over our house with a fine-tooth comb. He was very pleasant and respectful of our space. We'll get the final verdict when the buyers' agent submits paperwork later today, but it seems that all went well. Barring any surprises our house will be good and firmly sold by the end of the day*. YAY!
We're still seven weeks away from moving into the new house. Although I'm anxious to get going, the timing is kind of nice. We probably won't start any serious packing for another few weeks so we have March to relax a little bit before it all goes crazy-ass again.
Because we'll be so much closer to the downtown core, Drama King and I have aspirations of becoming city cyclists. We're going to take some of our house money and invest in some good bikes. I know at least a few of you cycle and I'd be glad of any advice people might have to share. Ideally I'm looking for a bike to ride primarily on city streets. I'm not super concerned with speed, rather I'd like something I could ride to work and back (about 25kms round-trip), without getting numb-butt. And definitely something that will let me haul Drama Prince's
stroller, without much issue.
* Fingers crossed, touch wood and other superstitious stuff.
