Yesterday I had a voice audition for an upcoming web-series about a trio of teenage gamer girls. What fun! I didn't have memorize lines, nor did I have get prettied up. I have next to no experience when it comes to voice work, but the producer patiently coaxed me through the process. I got to wear the big headphones and go balls out with my delivery. Once I was finished, the producer told me, that he'd expected a novice performance, but instead I "nailed it". Then he let me sit and watch while he edited several takes into one track, which he'll send to the executive.
This is the first time in a long time, I've auditioned for a project I'm actually excited about. If hired, I'll be doing to voice of Mika -- a brainy 15-year-old who loves puzzles and wears kicky turquoise boots! But booking the job is a long shot. It always is. But, my god, I think it would be such a fun job!
