This has been such a lazy weekend. There is so much I could be doing: World War II pamphlet, memorizing my OO for debate, starting that essay for that English contest. But me being me, I haven't done any of it. I've just slept, watched TV, and read Lords of Discipline, which is an amazing book by the way. Of course, everything Pat Conroy's ever written is amazing; it makes me disparage in my feeble literary attempts. Conroy's one of those people I would love to meet one day, but hate to actually know. He seems so messed up emotionally, but that's what makes him such a wonderful author.
Last night was so much fun. We all went over to the Sekar's to watch the Golden Globes and we had a really good time trashing all the stars' expensive dresses. Jeanette and I made fools of ourselves dancing around and singing songs from Kindergarden and Anything Goes at the top of our lungs. Then we all had sugar cravings at ten and piled into two cars to get icecream from Brewster's. It was closed, of course, so we went into Winn-Dixie to buy ice cream stuff and had the whole store staring at us we were being so loud and stupid. The ride home was crazy with Rob's "banana" jokes and Chris's unfinished stories.
When we got back, Emily concocted a mixture of salsa, ice cream, and whipped cream and then downed it. We decided that she will one day be the Fear Factor grand champion. Then we watched part of Napoleon Dynamite, which is one of the strangly funniest movies I've ever seen. People began leaving but John, Rob, and I stayed until about midnight talking about teachers and math team and stuff, which was pretty cool. It was such a fun night, probably b/c we were all on permanent sugar highs. I should go review Hot Zone for the test tomorrow. See everyone tomorrow!
