Bama Tourney
I love, love, love, love, love debate tournaments! Especially Bama: the judging is always fair b/c the Bama team does it, rounds actually run on time, and we get to watch Chas and the rest of the team perform for us.
It was also cool b/c we got to hang out w/ Ryan Roberts Friday night. It's fun seeing him again; I saw him at the Christmas party but this was the first time I really got to talk to him since he left. We were going to sneak back to his frat house, but Osbourne wasn't too keen on that idea. Ashley and Mike came to see us too- still going strong after like four and a half years, that's just crazy. I hung out with Glenn some too. Chris and Jackie ditched me for their new Donahue friends, so I had to retaliate and hang out with my Mountain Brook peeps. LOL.
So, everyone needs to congratulate Jenny b/c she got first in DI and Duo, third in OO, and fourth in poetry. She also won the best all-around IEr award. And...her full scholarship to Bama got finalized this weekend! I'm so happy for her, she did such an awesome job.
And I didn't do too shabby either. I actually got first in ADS and OO. The OO win is amazing b/c I didn't have the stupid piece memorized until Thursday night. I need to thank Mrs. Walston; it was her genetic engineering paper that gave me the idea for it. Chris was mad at me for beating him in ADS; the cocky kid thinks his speech was funnier. LOL. It was funnier actually; I was crying I was laughing so hard during finals. So, now we have a rivalry going on at the Mountain Brook tourney. May the best forensicater win! I've got so much work to do so buh-bye!
