life is so unnerving for a servant who's not serving...he's not whole w/o a soul to wait upon...
well, i didnt write yesterday, so i have to catch up.
yesterday we found out that one of the flutes quit, andrea. we were all kinda upset, bc now we only have 1 flute. then mrs a said that her daughter rachel would be andrea's replacement. not meaning to gossip, but she wasnt very good. i can understand the not getting the drill. but not even practicing the music with us. i mean, that's just not right. and then she's like, i am the first 7th grader that mr dunn has allowed in marching band.
josh, the trombone player, didnt come bc he said his mother took his instrument. he could have come to learn the drill, at least, so now he is really behind.
then today, andrea came back. so i figured that rachel is out of the picture. but no. i found out during sectionals that she is now in the pit. so i really dont know about this.
josh came back today, but he was all mixed up. i am kinda annoyed, but i'll try to help him. bc i am sure that i was a burden too. even if no one says it, i know that i was.
it was funny today. we were at our last break, at like 11. i went inside to get some more water. and i saw joe getting out his car keys, so i asked him what he was doing. he replied, "i'm getting out of here." i said, "huh?" and then he said, "and i'm taking my friends with me." i asked him, "where are you going?" and he told me orlando. i figured that they were going to disney, like they always do. turns out they did. and mr dunn was upset at them, bc they told him that they were leaving at noon, i guess. so joe, brad, and daniel went. i thought it was weird that keith didnt go. then we finished the first number, and it was exciting.
then amy told me the funniest story about keith. one time his family said that they were going to disney, and he refused. so his family left him at their house with no food and no money. we all thought that was kinda funny.
then after lunch we went into sectionals. we worked on adelina de maya. and tommy was messing around so amy made him run through the band room, which no offense, but he deserved that a long time ago.
so then we went into full band, minus battery, and we went through the first number music. mr dunn helped us get the last 2 measures of the song, which was kinda tiring, but it will be good for the music scores.
then we went out and ran through the first number, music and drill. needless to say, it wasnt the best. but one thing i realized. one of the only times we were perfect was when we crossed through the trumpet line. i thought that was weird. needless to say, it wasnt the best, but i know that it will only go uphill from here.
but i feel so bad for nick. he will have so much to catch up on. also pancake and mike simons. and rachel. but she will be here tomorrow so that will be good.
then after practice i helped mr a get a cabinet out of his car, and i accidentally got my finger pinned between it and the ground. mr a kept on asking me if it was broken or sprained, bc he said if i did then mr dunn would kill him. but it was my fault. but it is fine, just a little swollen.
oh, i also fell 2 times today. once before practice, when the ground was wet and me, haley, and jen were practicing our drill. then at practice, where my heel caught on something and i went flying. needless to say, i am getting tired of falling down. it's weird bc last year i never fell down and now i am like always falling down.
my feet are really sore. i might get another pair of shoes to wear to band with thicker soles. so right now i am soaking my feet in warm water. it feels good. so i will leave off at that.
i hope nick comes online soon. bc i have to ask him a ?. then we will get talking about life. it is strange bc he has a way of making me open up everything. then he gives me the greatest advice i could ask for. idk what it is about him, but he is just that way.
so, now i am going.
