Really, gentleman, I'm getting quite concerned that some don't know how to treat a lady. Why, today, someone told me that they did something ridiculous like paying for themselves on a rendezvous.  Feminism is one thing, being gullible is another; if you're trying to be a strong woman make him pay for your date.

LADIES
1. Always, always use your best assets. A date means that you have company for evening. It doesn't means that you have to give away what's in the window for a little effort. You're worth them bending over backwards to let them impress. That said, don't expect the Red Sea to part for you. Men work hard to be a provider, a leader and a mentor to those around him.  Just make sure he acts like it.

2. Don't be afraid to go on a date with someone who isn't exactly your cup of tea. Dating is temporary and like all things temporary, you have fun with them before you move on. Get an electrician to fix your lights if it goes out; get a doctor buy you a new apartment with lights that work.

3. Don't be someone you're not. If he keeps talking about the sort of woman he wants, let him go and find it. If he wants a wife, he should go find someone's wife and have cocktails with them. If he sees an former fling or a former lover, that's wonderful; he got a second chance at meeting someone else that didn't fall below his expectations. Eye contact for longer than thirty seconds means that he didn't meet yours.

4. If he orders for you, you excuse yourself and you go order take out.  He's been working hard all day and if he wants to work more at dinner, let him work. Reschedule

5. For heaven's sake, if you end up paying for yourself, what are you even doing? Don't abuse his hard earned money, but make it worth it that he's spending time. You are worth it and it's a damned honor that he's having dinner with you.

6. They will be chivalrous until you let them near your boudoir. If you want to snag him, let him feel that you're exotic. Let him near you only long enough for him to get just a little taste of what you really are. Then, take him before he gets too bored. If he gets too bored or is exhausted with the chase, you've lost him. Personally, when they're just about to give up and they decide to take you their house in the South Hampton, that's when you reward them.

GENTLEMAN

1. A woman is your greatest asset. The more beautiful she is, the better you look. Don't be a brute, tell her how pretty she looks. After all, you are going to e pampered tonight. Waiters are going to serve you, other men are going to envy you, be nice to her.

2. Don't order for her, but do suggest what you want her to order. Cocktails are alright in this respect. After all, you're the one who knows the best when it comes to best bars and the best restaurants.

3. Don't worry about showing her off. There's nothing a girl loves more than having someone pride their appearance.

4. Be a gentleman. There's nothing more attractive than a man with some chivalry. After all, aren't you a man? You're so much stronger and more knowledgeable about these things, why don't you show us? Hold the doors open for us, buy us dinner, make us laugh- who knows? Maybe if you work hard enough, you might get rewarded later on.
