[As the video resolves, it shows Shito standing with his gun out looking around warily, while Chika stands over a dead body with his sword raised straight up in the air. For those who can see spirit particles, there is a swirl of glowing golden energy rising from the decaying body to whirl around Chika and follow the line of the sword into the sky

[Shito's stunned for a moment, startled by the totally unexpected attack. He starts to push Chika off of him, then notices the blood]

Your arm.

[He sits up, staring. He'd never seen his attacker.] What was that?

It was a fucking shinigami, is what it was! [Chika awkwardly shoves himself upright, and glares at his arm lying several feet away.] God damn it, Yuuta's gonna charge me through the nose to put that back on!

[Shito gets to his feet, glaring at the blood that's now soaked into his clothes and mutters:] Ugh, disgusting. I'm going to need to do laundry now.

[He shakes his head, looking apprehensively up at the dark sky] What was a shinigami doing here?

[Chika is standing by his arm now, trying to figure out how he's going to carry it and still keep staunching the blood from the stump at the same time. At least he doesn't have to carry the sword as well.] Well, we better figure it out fast! If they're going to just start targeting us any old time, we're in deep shit.

[Shito makes an irritated sound and scoops up the arm, holding his gun in his left hand in case the Shinigami makes a second appearance. Not that a gun would really do all that much]

There has to be a reason. You're sure you didn't piss anyone off lately? [Then he frowns, remembering that actually he was HIM who'd been targetted]

Stein has connections to shinigami. I talked to a shinigami the other day and Stein works at his school.

In that world. [Shito frowns] He also said he had a zombie for a teacher, so zombies don't seem to be a really big problem for him.

Oh. [Chika relaxes, and scowls at him.] Fuck, don't scare me like that. I thought you were talking about our shinigami! Still, one shinigami could talk to another, and so far damn near everyone of them we've seen on the comm has thought we ought to just give up and let ourselves get reaped.
