Cuuuuuute!

May 05, 2007 00:10

People are suddenly sprouting cat ears and tails! They're really cute, I want one! Are any of you up for adoption? I promise to give you lots of food and water, and a soft bed to sleep on. And plenty of jelly-bunnies to play with.

I wish I had cat ears and a tail... Maybe Eva would like me more if I did...

What are these 'Jellybunnies' you speak of?

They're just what they sound like: a cross between a jelly-fish and a rabbit. They look like little blue blobs with ears and a tail, and they float through the air making a "chu" noise. They're really cute!

Then am I right in thinking they would be excellent target practice for a marksman such as yourself?

What the hell is wrong with you?! I would never dream of using the Jelly-Bunnies for target practice. That's what the Shadows in the Arena of the Heart are for... I'm sorry, but I can't hurt cute things on principle.

Pitty. I have this strange feeling that they were designed for that exact purpose by their orriginal creator.

I know that in my universe similar creations were. (Then again, my universe centers around the throne of madness giving ultimate power and ruling the galaxy. This is likely different from yours.)

Eh ... I think the Jelly-Bunnies are a part of the natural ecosystem on Oban. I don't believe the Creators made them simply to be shot at.

Well, I do possess ultimate power (I think?) and I rule over the galaxy, but I haven't gone mad (yet?). Yeah, I think our galaxies are different.

Oh, I wouldn't expect our galaxies to be the same. But mayhap they stem from a familiar source. From the little I can glean about your creation myths...well, I have to know more details.

Could you tell me more about these 'creators'?

Oh geez. Well, the Creators only told me so much (as they are so old even they don't remember where they came from). But they came from some other part of the universe and created the Mother Planet: Oban. Oban is at the center of the Milky Way galaxy, and from its womb all other planets of the galaxy were born ( ... )

Hmm. There are some differences between our histories, but...

The galaxy I was born into was controlled by a group of humans beings called 'Inquestors' who ruled from their planet located in the center of the galaxy. They were able to artificaly extend their life, and controled the rest of the 'Dispersal of Man' with an iron fist. In the end a young Inquestor rebelled and split the society in two, a 'dark' side and a 'light' side. In the end only five chose the middle road, lead by another young Inquestor,Sirissheh. The pushed the rest to give up their immortality, and end the Inquest strangle hold on the Dispersal of Man.

The result was the peaceful distruction of the race, and the society. Only one Inquestrix remainded, and she too gave up immortality, merging with the Throne of Madness and gaining ultimate power.

So, it has only been 10,000 years since that happened. Does that mean it is time for a new leader take hold of the Throne?

Actually, it's been more than ten thousand years since the Creators came to our galaxy. I'm only the latest in a long line of Avatars. I must choose a successor in another ten thousand years.

((OOC: BTW, that history stuff... Is that from "Warhammer 40K" PC game?))

So my reality is similar to the begining of yours. Except you seem to have a slightly more sensible sistem of choosing the next in line for the throne.

It would be facinating if our realities were infact the same, just seperated by vast amounts of time. Unlikely, but facinating. Would if be possible for me to speak to one of the Creators, or are they unable to be wakened after they chose another Avatar?

((OOC: *giggle* Nope, its all from a late 80s book series called the Inquest. Ever since I saw Oban I've been dying to ask someone about the similarities between the two, but have never had a chance...))

Um... I don't think so. The Creators remain asleep until it is time for a new Avatar to be chosen (although Eva and I did wake them up prematurely during the Great Race, but that's another story!)

((OOC: Ah! For some reason it sounded like something my friends were telling me about in Warhammer. Hehe, well you can always check Wiki for episode synopsis and whatnot for OSR. Or go to the official forum, of which I am moderator.))

zenz I was hoping to speak to them. Ah well. Mayhap I'll stop by next time I go Utopia hunting on vacation. Unless you do not like unexpected visitors?

((*rolling on the floor laughing* MasterofthePen, I'm already on your forum. I joined it a little before I joined DDD...don't you recognize the name?))

I don't mind people dropping in to visit me on Oban (if you can find it, that is). It can get kinda lonely, so I'd welcome the company!

((Yeah, I recognized the name, but you can never be too sure, ya know?))

Your universe shouldn't be that hard to find. Do you by any chance know the 'Many Worlds' Coordinates? If not I could probably find a way to get there through my universes overcosome.

((Yeah, I'm the best friend of the one who recomended you to this site. And the impudent one who suggested you have a book thread!))

Eh... Until now, I didn't even concern myself with the other galaxies in my own universe, let alone wonder if there were other universes. But if you need to know, Oban is three times larger than Earth's sun and is located in the center of the Milky Way galaxy. That's really all the info I can give you, sorry.

((Ah! So you're Hat Trick's friend, eh? And sorry! I've been meaning to forward your suggestion to Fanart, as he has admin powers to do that kind of thing. I'll get around to it soonish!))
