If I can pay off the loan in a year, I'll be human again. If I can't, I can renew it for a HUGE fee that's as big as the original loan. Or I can just die. Apparently I can keep renewing forever and stay exactly like I am - but lose any ability to feel emotions. Not a cool trade-off.

Besides, who wants to be sixteen forever?

Some fucking asshole guy who just happened to be on the bus with me. He's my age, at least, which means we can go to school together. Otherwise we'd be pretty much screwed, since we can't get too far apart without our arms rotting off.

So far he hasn't done anything but snarl at me.
